Tufts University’s Police Department doesn’t have a motto, but if it did, it would probably be, “You can never be too prepared.” This would explain why, over the past semester, TUPD has sent out numerous alerts concerning breaches of campus safety. Personal favorite: “Two females were walking on Leonard St. when a male ran up behind them and exposed his genital area. The females ran down Leonard St. toward Powderhouse Blvd. and immediately called Tufts Police.” Perhaps it’s comforting to know that campus safety is being taken seriously, but was it really necessary to inform the entire campus that you got flashed last Friday? Probs not.
